Whimsical Elegance: The Enchanting World of Alex S. Yu’s Runway

The Alex S. Yu show kicked off with ethereal visuals on the screen, setting the stage for the clothing to come. The collection featured a mix of tulle, plaid, and metallic fabrics, transforming what could have been basic pieces into standout ensembles. A recurring silhouette was a sheer, colorful, tulle-pleated dress layered over a long-sleeved top and pants, but the ever-changing patterns and shapes kept each look unique and vibrant.

Attendee Liya Zulu praised Yu’s designs for their practicality and style, particularly loving the layered dresses in the second collection. Model Aluel Lual, who walked for both shows, felt a stronger connection to Yu’s designs, describing them as playful and reflective of her personality.

Despite the contrast between Alex S. Yu and Longshi, both shows featured child models, although for different reasons. Yu used them to demonstrate the versatility of his designs across all ages. The collection showcased meticulous craftsmanship, evident in every piece and highlighting the joy and delicacy of the designs.
