Aurora Dreams and NYC Glamour: Pamella Roland’s Sensational 20th Anniversary Collection

Pamella discovered her inspiration for this season’s collection while on an extraordinary trip to the Arctic Circle. Her goal was to capture the ethereal magic of the Aurora Borealis, a display that has mesmerized all who have witnessed it. She painstakingly handcrafted these celestial embellishments onto opulent swathes of ombre chiffon, crepe, stretch satin, tulle, organza, and floral lace using shimmering ombre sequins, glistening crystals, silvery paillettes, iridescent pearls, glass beads, and meticulously hand-cut 3D petals.

The feminine and organic beauty of nature are reflected in every piece of this collection, which is inspired by the northern lights’ delicate dance and seamless movement across the human form. Pamella Roland’s runway presentation for New York Fashion Week 23 Ready-To-Wear Collection provided evidence of Pamella’s exceptional creative talent. This collection showed the designer’s renowned luxurious evening gowns, available at top retailers including Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Moda Operandi. It drew inspiration from flora, wildlife, geological elements, and heavenly wonders.

For the 20th anniversary runway presentation, Pamella Roland looked to her roots in New York City. To pay tribute to the brand’s rich history, they reimagined timeless pieces, infusing them with Pamella’s signature design. Emerald, cobalt, amethyst, and fuchsia are present throughout the collection in both the fabrics and the gorgeous hand stitching and feathers.

Dramatic capes and sleeves, skillfully draped chiffon, and well-known ballgowns are important design components. The show-stopping gown with a strapless, beautiful silver fringe epitomizes the aggressive fashion tastes of the Pamella Roland woman.

Coco Rocha, Olivia Palermo, Vanessa Williams, Jeannie Mai, Jasmine Sanders, Kelsey Merritt, and many others were notable VIP attendees at the Pamella Roland runway show.
