Thierry Mugler: Couturissime is a retrospective exhibition that explores the fascinating and edgy universe of the French designer and creator of iconic fashion, Thierry Mugler. The exhibition showcases over 100 outfits, most of which are on view for the first time, along with accessories, videos, photographs, sketches, and a special scented room. The exhibition opened at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art in 2019 and has since made stops in Rotterdam, Munich, and Paris before making its final stop at the Brooklyn Museum. The exhibition is the first retrospective to explore Mugler’s work and features a certain energy that reverberates from having his work in the city, making it seem like a sort of homecoming.
