For his Spring-Summer 2023 runway presentation, Oliver Rousteing wanted to channel a moment of rebirth. Couture-inspired elements — draping, braiding, patchwork, weaving and master sculpting — highlight the expert craftsmanship that serves as a foundation for the Balmain Atelier, while references to the great thinkers of the Renaissance age and the rich traditions of Africa inspire a fashion reboot in line with the Creative Director’s innovative vision.
