The Hache collection for S/S 13 is a mental and material journey that makes opposites and differences collide with natural ease.

A wardrobe in globetrotting. The form/function equation solved in a spontaneous, practical way. The Hache collection for S/S 13 is a mental and material journey that makes opposites and differences collide with natural ease. Nothing matches but everything is mixed in a quest for perfect imperfection. Designer Manuela Arcari creates a system of pieces that can be assembled and re-assembled in different ways. The sense of playful modularity puts the wearer to the fore. The collection, in fact, is an open repertoire of possibilities.

The silhouette is neat. Volumes stand away from the body, naturally. The basic elements of this modular wardrobe are precise shirts, exact trousers, small jackets, work jackets, shorts, fluid t-shirt tops, long skirts, dresses, sundresses. The utility vein is contradicted by the rhythm of the prints — stylized flowers, stripes, geometrical motifs — and by an abstract sense of composition. Graphic elements highlight functional details: contrasting patch pockets, bands, drawstrings. Soft peplums, raised waistlines and a stress on fluidity add a sense of fresh femininity.

The color palette is organic: sand, beige, ochre, khaki, and then delicate touches of light blue and pale yellow. White and graphic black & white work as a frame. Fabrics are dense to the touch, or firm yet impalpable: linen, cotton, silk, voile.

Accessories include flat sandals with straps drawing grids over the feet, gladiator sandals, straw hats and caps, soft bags with a neat shape.
