In early 2008, Luca Orlandi, the founder of the company LUCA LUCA, appointed Raul Melgoza as the new Creative Director. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Melgoza graduated from University of Southern California with a degree in finance and then attended Parsons School of Design where he graduated top of his class and was nominated for Designer of the Year. While a student, he worked at Vera Wang to hone his skills and techniques. Upon graduation in 2005, he joined LUCA LUCA where he worked closely with Orlandi and quickly rose to the position of Senior Designer.
JOINING THE EQUITIUM GROUP
In May of 2008, LUCA LUCA was acquired by the Miami-based Equitium Group, with the vision of building a premiere luxury fashion brand on global scale.
