Wes Gordon brought Carolina Herrera’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection to life with a stunning presentation set against the architectural backdrop of 28 Liberty Street, where the Noguchi sunken garden and Jean Dubuffet’s towering trees added to the allure. The show masterfully combined the brand’s timeless elegance with a modern twist, offering a collection that honored Herrera’s iconic design codes while embracing contemporary trends. Gordon paid tribute to the house’s signature extravagant sleeves with standout pieces like a striking black cotton one-sleeve dress, and incorporated playful polka dots into designs such as a crocheted mini dress and a sleek knit bandeau top and skirt set.
The collection, however, wasn’t limited to daytime sophistication. Gordon proved his talent for crafting breathtaking eveningwear, with one of the highlights being a show-stopping strapless gown in black and white polka dots. The gown featured ruffles at the drop waist and a flowing skirt, embodying what Gordon aptly described as “chasing the wow.” This piece, much like the entire collection, showcased his ability to blend traditional elements with a fresh, forward-thinking approach.
