Fourth International Hanfu Design Competition. This year we will have one- hour Hanfu Show at this year’s Couture Fashion Week on Sunday September 8.
Different from previous years, we will showcase 60 best designs organized by Tang, Song, and Ming Dynasties to be shown during Fashion week. The bi-lingual Emcees’ will help audience learn the basics of Hanfu as well as the different features of clothing from Tang, Song, and Ming eras.
Japanese have Komono, Koreans have Hanbok, China however has lost its traditional clothing despite a five-thousand year culture. NTD’s Hanfu Competition wishes to provide New York fashion industry new design inspirations while bringing fresh Chinese aesthetics to western society.
