Valérie is a distinguished French designer and entrepreneur. With formal education in fine arts and graphic design, Valérie worked as an art director for top powerhouse companies in Paris including Saatchi & Saatchi, TBWA, Euro RSCG and PPR Group. After years of experience in the design and advertising field, Valérie moved to New York City and started LEECHEE in September 2009, combining her creativity with great business savvy — Offering a wide variety of couture design services ranging from ad campaign development to e-commerce solutions. Most recently, LEECHEE started an in house online magazine, Lively Magazine, focusing on fashion, design, art, and architecture. Valérie’s aim is to create a lasting company that combines craftsmanship with strategy-driven solutions.
DAVID FREIRE Architect Partner, NY3 Design Group
David Freire, architect and interior designer, is a Founder and Partner at NY3 Design Group, an award winning design firm based in Midtown Manhattan. David has over 20 years experience in the design and construction industry within the New York metropolitan area. As an expert in creative solutions, David has recently completed the design of the Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry flagship store in Soho. Current projects also include high end fashion show rooms for Cupio, Cable and Gauge, and Spense wear. David specializes in helping companies select and create the physical spaces that will best display their products, merchandise and brands for the optimal shopping experience.
MARISA WATTS Retail Leasing Partner, Privior Group at KWNYC
Marisa Watts is a partner at Privior Group, a retail leasing team that focuses on leasing off-market, retail space in prime locations throughout Manhattan. She develops the team’s marketing approach, integrating big data and spatial analysis. Her experience encompasses large-scale developers, REITs, and fashion brands. Prior to forming Privior Group, Marisa represented iStar Financial in an $80M project. She provides industry acumen specific to fashion, having worked with some retail’s most well recognized names: Bebe, Anthropologie, and Verizon Wireless.
JULIA MAKSIMOVA – Retail Leasing Partner, Privior Group at KWNYC
Julia Maksimova is a partner at Privior Group. She’s been in commercial real estate for 7 years and started off at Cushman Wakefield. Julia can be credited with shaping Manhattan’s retail landscape – she’s handled over 120,000 sf of retail space. She’s worked with: Bonobos, Lululemon, and Vespa.
