The Innovation Center for Law and Technology at New York Law School cordially invites you to attend our inaugural fashion law symposium: “Robot Couture: The Future of Fashion, Law, and Technology” on Friday, October 21, 2016.
Leading practitioners, scholars, and designers will discuss, among other things, the privacy and intellectual property issues raised by smart devices in fashion, anti-counterfeiting enforcement for fashion brands in the digital age, and the impact of 3-D printing on the future of fashion. Guests will include counsel for Balmain, Christian Louboutin, Coach, Estée Lauder, Hermès, Rebecca Minkoff, and more.
This symposium celebrates the launch of the Fashion Law Initiative at New York Law School, which sits at the dynamic point where law, fashion, and technology come together. The Initiative will train the next generation of fashion lawyers through coursework, research opportunities, conferences, externships, mentorship, and networking opportunities with leading fashion brands and designers. And it will bring lawyers, designers, and other stakeholders together to protect intellectual property and protect consumers from the safety and privacy risks associated with new fashion technologies.
